Body – Mind – Soul

Spring Into Health!

The month of April is home to some of our favorite Healthy Holidays! As we step into spring, let the following April recognition days be a part of your Spring renewing for the health of your Body Mind & Soul.

April 4th is

Vitamin C is an essential nutrient needed for many functions in the body (it must come from an outside source – ideally your diet). Here are some of our favorite things about our trusty friend, Vitamin C:

* its antioxidant properties supporting immune function in both prevention and treatment for common cold season * cancer prevention and treatment (particularly lung, breast, colon/rectum, stomach, oral cavity, larynx, esophagus) * cardiovascular system; vitamin C can improve nitric oxide production which prevents atherosclerosis * macular degeneration; potentially linked to oxidative stress (aka HIGH levels inflammation) * in the recent 2 years it was successfully used as part of treatment for Sars CoV2 * another nice perk is it can prevent skin wrinkling (antioxidants of Vitamin C protects skin from free radicals as discussed in this mayo clinic article)

Your best source of Vitamin C is diet. But does your daily diet include at least 5 - 9 servings of seasonal, ripened whole fruits and veggies?

The 2nd best source is a Vitamin C supplement that is sourced from whole food nutrients. Synthetic forms of Vitamin C (like ascorbic acid) mimic only one component (at best) of the multitude of life-supporting nutrient complexes found in whole food. April 6th is

National Walking Day

As most already know, there are a slew of benefits from walking (and recognized by many health organizations such as mayo clinic)

- bone density health - cardiovascular health - improved circulation - boosts endorphins for improved mood - great opportunity to work on postural alignment which kicks in your Pilates CORE muscles (read all about it HERE) - and if you do this outside (best between 10A – 2P) you’ll naturally soak up some Vitamin D too With all to gain and nothing to lose, on April 6th put those feet to walking – as that is what they were designed to do.

April 7th is

World Health Day

Health is a state of complete mental, social and physical well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

– World Health Organization, 1948 As the above quote states, health is much more than just being alive. Health is a state of living!

- Enjoying personal vitality and growth - Supportive relationships with family and friends - Being a part of community

In other words, it involves self-care, which in turn contributes to the health of our own communities and those around the world, too. At CoeDynamics, we take a whole body & mind approach towards achieving functional health and vitality. Are you ready to take your health status to the next level? April 15th & April 17th

Passover and Easter

Without a soul there is no life!

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 2:7 Both Passover and Easter are century time-honored holidays that serve as a remembrance and celebration of Gods faithfulness to His promises to His people – this brings peace and joy to life.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Cheers from CoeDynamics to your Spring Renewal
