Your Defenses?


Every year, inducing media fears seem to increase and come out earlier. Get your flu shots!  Get on your anti-biotics! Mandatory vaccination laws! Unfortunately, it is true that the cold season is coming earlier every year, lingers (sometimes all year long) and more people are getting sick ☹

Well… if America is spending billions and billions of $$$ on health care, WHY are more Americans -getting sick -having more re-occurrences and/or -taking forever or never really recovering? WHY are superbugs developing resistant to anti-biotics?

HMMMM, could it be we have come so far away from Building our Defenses and rather succumb each year to Destroying our defenses.

In BC years it was known, “All Disease Begins in The Gut” – Hippocrates (the father of medicine).  Later years 1920s 30s this was further observed through research of Dr. Weston A. Price and Dr. Franics Pottenger Jr.

RESEARCH TODAY is confirming…our Immune lives primarily in our GUT The Gut and Immune Systems (abstract from National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) The gastrointestinal system (GUT) plays a central role in immune system homeostasis (maintaining balanced). It is ….. overloaded every day with external stimuli, sometimes dangerous as pathogens (bacteria, protozoa, fungi, viruses) or toxic substances…… The crucial position of the gastrointestinal system is testified by the huge amount of immune cells that reside within it. Indeed, gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) is the prominent part of mucosal-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) and represents almost 70% of the entire immune system; moreover, about 80% of plasma cells [mainly immunoglobulin A (IgA)-bearing cells] reside in GALT.

What is destroying our gut/immunity?  In one statement: anything that causes a chronic imbalance in the GUT ecology (when bad gut bacteria out-weights the good).

Here are some big guns: 

SAD (Standard American Diet):– unhealthy fats – heated vegetable oils – chemical laden foods – animals raised on anti-biotics– pasteurized dairy – dehydration – processed foods – excessive sugar (anything beyond 3 – 4 servings of fruit and 1 tsp of sugar (which is being liberal)*

*Excessive Sugar: all foods break down to sugar (which becomes fuel for our body). Some food break down a lot faster than others (think table sugar and white foods). This speed of sugar flow strains the body trying to keep up with processing which OVERLOADS the body AND sugar is LEFT as food for the bad bacteria so you are feeding the monsters!!!  DON’T reach for the (neurotoxin) fake sugar.  INSTEAD curb your sugar in-take by   increasing your (air-dried) salt! This is not a joke and another wellness blog in itself (see below references for more information).

Lack of micro-nutrients from our diet because of: – food choices – lack of nutrients in soils primarily a result of industrial farming practices – lack of healthy fats (which are essential for the body to absorb and use minerals)

Drugs/Alcohol: both recreational and pharmaceutical: –  example marijuana prohibits production of hydrochloric acid (HCL) in the gut. HCL is vital for gut health,  its our first natural defense to kill off the bad pathogens (bugs) that come through foods/beverages and is needed to breakdown protein otherwise the protein sits in the gut and putrefies (more food for the monsters).

– pharmaceutical drugs can prohibit the function of the digestive system and/or kill of the good and bad bacteria (bugs) in the gut.. leaving a sterile system with no defense as soon as a pathogen enters the gut system

Lack of Sleep/Rest and Chronic/Mishandling of stress: – In pyramid of health, quality sleep supersedes nutrition – our bodies where NOT designed to be going 24/7 (point blank) – the on-going stimulation from technology disrupts melatonin production – stress also slows/shuts down the function of your gut – You can defy that system but nature will still wins

Chronic Inflammation – chronic inflammation inhibits gut function VICE VERSA gut dysfunction is a key cause of chronic inflammation – when the body is under chronic attack, the immune system is continuously ON, wearing it down so when it encounters seasonal pathogens it doesn’t have the steam to fight it off
