I love this place!! Every instructor is fabulous! I have been doing Pilates for over 11 years and started coming to Body & Mind Coe-Dynamics a year ago. I have learned more in the last year than during all my years doing Pilates. I was doing most of the exercises wrong for the past 10 years. The slightest correction changes everything!! My previous instructors at other studios were great but failed to correct me. The instructors at this studio are very knowledgeable and are able to articulate in a way that I understand. They also can see when I am cheating and using muscles I am not suppose to be using. here is a shirt that says, “Pilates is easy until you do it right”. I now understand what that means!! You leave the studio with a stronger core and feel about two inches taller. I have tried many Pilates studios in the area and this is the best studio with the best instructors!!
BMCD Fitness – Pilates and Rehab
If you’ve ever gone to a physical therapy facility, you may have seen a reformer, a Pilates circle or another type of Pilates equipment there. Or if you’re a regular at our Manhattan Beach Pilates classes or take private sessions, you may have noticed a client come in to rehabilitate an injury.
Pilates isn’t just an incredible workout. Pilates benefits are wide-ranging—they include boosting flexibility to help prevent future injuries as well as helping to heal and strengthen injured parts of our bodies. In fact, when Joseph Pilates developed this movement in the early 20th century, it was originally designed as a method of rehabilitation. While it grew in popularity over the last 40 years, it was only in the last 15 years that its powerful therapeutic Pilates benefits have been recognized. Pilates instructors and physical therapists use it to treat an extensive range of injuries, as well as chronic illnesses such as osteoporosis.
