Getting Pilates Results

Whenever a new student starts taking our Manhattan Beach Pilates classes, one of the first things they want to know is how long it will take to see results. We understand that when you work out, you want to see a change in your body, which is why we’re happy to share what we know about

In 10 sessions, you will feel the difference, in 20 sessions you will see the difference and in 30 sessions you will have a whole new body.” -Joseph Pilates.

The quote above is how the founder of this incredible movement, Joseph Pilates, gauged the length of time it would take to see Pilates results. What’s most interesting about this quote is how he explains the results—and we think he was very accurate.

When you first start taking Pilates classes or private sessions, you’re going to feel the changes. For example, you may stand up straighter, feel more flexible and experience less pain and soreness in areas where you may have had injuries. The next set of changes you will notice will be ones that you can see—your posture will improve and you’ll see more muscle tone and definition. You’ll feel and look longer. From there, once you have a regular practice, you will feel and look like a new, improved version of yourself—you’ll even feel like you have an entirely new body. A Pilates body.

If you only have time to attend our Manhattan Beach Pilates classes once or twice a week, you will still see excellent results. Obviously, the more you practice, the more results you will see. Just like with all other workouts, consistency is key. Be patient, work as hard as possible and follow the principles of Pilates—before you know it, that new body will be a reality.
