Tracy Coe, Founder
Founder of BODY & MIND COE-DYNAMICS, INC., Tracy Coe, has packaged her extensive educational background of Pilates Certification(s), Medical Conditioning Specialist Certification, Physical Therapy Assistance and her consistent personal health and fitness movement experience, including Kakos Productions Ms. Fitness competitions, with her passion to work with others to guide people in achieving their goals of physical wellness. Tracy had the honor of completing her Pilates Certification with "Distinction" through Marie-Jose' Blom-Lawrence Academy of Movement and "Advances in Pilates Technique" comprehensive teacher training program. Tracy carries the philosophy that Pilates is never complete, but a constant evolution of learning.
Dedicated to educating others about the evolution of Pilates, Tracy has conducted presentations and workshops to various groups such as: physical therapy clinics, local police and fire departments, cardiovascular centers, personal trainers, golf trainers, volleyball clinics, public schools, and health fairs. In addition, Tracy holds a Gold Pilates Certification through Pilates Method Alliance and is a Board Member of the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Roxanne Captor, Yoga Teacher
ROXANNE MESSINA CAPTOR has been a Dance, Yoga and Fitness educator since the age of 12 when Rudolph Nureyev enlisted her for the Chicago Lyric Opera Ballet. She has taught at UCLA, Cal-Arts, Santa Monica College, Cal-State Long Beach, High School of the Performing Arts and Inaugurated the Performing Arts Division for Emerson College LA. Captor trained the US Olympic Gymnastic Team. Inaugurated the BarWorks class at YogaWorks South Bay.
Captor has performed with Mikhail Baryshinikov, Harkness Ballet, Maurice Bejart Ballet, Broadway: Chicago, Chorus Line, Pippin, Pal Joey. She was Gene Kelly’s assistant Choreographer and works in films with Francis Coppola, Herb Ross among others.
Captor is Juilliard BFA, YogaWorks Teacher Training Certified, Bar Method (BarWorks Certified), SculptWorks Certified. She is a Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Letters, Who’s Who in America, Emmy Nominated Director/Choreographer.
Shannon, Pilates Teacher
Shannon chose to practice Pilates after completing her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance from California State University of Long Beach. Shannon went on to obtain one of the first certifications offered by Body Arts and Science International. Shannon’s six years experience as a Pilates Teacher is combined with physical therapy training, personal training, and group fitness instruction. Having been an athletic figure skater most of her life and internationally traveled dancer Shannon has personally experienced how important Pilates is for body maintenance and performance. Shannon teaches Pilates with the philosophy that “The job is to educate, the passion is to enjoy the method!”
Debbie, Pilates Teacher
Debbie has been working as a Fitness Trainer since 1989. Her personal fitness background has been in competitive gymnastics for 11 years and competitive power lifting and bodybuilding for 5 years.
Graduated UCLA extensive course for fitness training in 1989, certified in Pilates from Long Beach Dance Conditioning in 1999 and most recently graduated one of the most highly recognized sports training program in fitness- NASM (National Association of Sports Medicine).
Debra has worked in the South Bay since moving to CA in 1989. Over the past 4 years she has had the opportunity to travel the world setting up fitness facilities and designing workout programs for clients in the entertainment industry and for major studio films.
She is looking forward to returning to the community she loves and teaching her passion….Pilates!
Carinne, Pilates Teacher
Carinne Rae Bach began her dance training in New York. After completing a BA in Psychology/Dance from the State University of New York, Fredonia, she moved to Jamaica where she studied and performed at the Edna Manley School of Visual and Performing Arts. Ms. Bach's enthusiasm for dance and travel, brought her to Ireland were she continued choreographing, performing and teaching. While living in Ireland, Ms. Bach held the position of Artistic Director of the dance department for eight years with Backstage Academy of the Performing Arts, and was a featured dancer in internationally renowned Macnas. She was invited to perform in "Desplazamiento II" in Bogotá, Colombia; "OOTOO" at UCI; "Ascension", "Butterfly Dream" and "Final Bell" at New York University. Ms. Bach recieved her BASI Pilates Certification with Dance Specialization in 2006, and her MFA in Dance from UCI in 2007. Ms. Bach is currently a faculty at CSUCI and Artistic Director of the CSUCI Dance Ensemble.
Karen, Pilates Teacher
Karen began her Pilates career 8 years ago after reading an article about Pilates and wanted to experience it for herself. She has an athletic background, starting at the age of 7 she had competed in equestrian showing/jumping. She has run in the San Diego Marathon and Long Beach Triathlon. Shortly after beginning Pilates she found the rehabilitative benefits of Pilates while dealing with a shoulder injury from a repetitive motion injury and most recently during her pregnancy, as well as on bed rest.
Karen completed her Pilates Certification in 2001 from Marie Jose’ and Lorena Brown through Long Beach Dance Conditioning. Her continued interest in movement has continued her to become Gyrotonic® certified in 2007. She completed her training through Lisa Marie Goodwin and Donna Place.
When she is not teaching Karen enjoys running, yoga, snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends and her latest addition, her son Wyatt. Karen loves to help people find the results that they are looking for and helping them find the healthiest place for there body and taking that into there everyday lives.
Stephanie, Pilates Teacher
Stephanie comes from a background of extensive training and performing in Ballet. Her love for movement and health lead her to a pilates certification at LBDC academy of movement under the instruction of the highly respected Marie-Jose Blom. Her training has provided her the skills to create fitness programs that accomadate any fitness level ultimately meeting the needs and goels of every client. She is now very proud to contribute to the health, well being and excellence of many.
Mise Asayo, Student Teacher
Asayo fell in love with the art of movement as a young ballet dancer, studying at the Lexington Ballet in Kentucky, and at Russian method schools in Japan.
She returned to ballet as a young adult where she was introduced to Pilates to re-condition her body. Pilates enabled her to realize that the human body can be trained and re-trained through proper alignment and conditioning. This new realization inspired her to share this experience with others.
Asayo studied with the internationally renowned Marie-Jose Blom at Long Beach Dance Conditioning completing her Pilates Teacher Certification Course in 2008. She enjoys passing on the joy of movement and body awareness to her clients, challenging each body to become his/her fullest potential.
Asayo also holds NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certification obtained in 2007. She graduated from Califonia State Universtiy Northridge with a BA in Communications, and a minor in Marketing.
