In total, volunteers turned in 971,126 signatures statewide, 232,409 of which were LA County registered voters!</p>
<p>Tracy volunteered tirelessly for the campaign, educating and gathering signatures for this important cause. Providing up-to-date <a href="http://www.coe-dynamics.com/whole-health-nutrition/">nutrition information</a> is one of her life goals, which is why this cause is so important to her. Californians have the right to know and choose what food they buy for their families— the Label GMOs: It’s Our Right To Know Initiative is designed to ensure that foods containing genetically engineered ingredients, aka Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are labeled clearly, similar to how food labels are currently required to list nutrition information.</p>
<p>GMOs are typically plant or meat products containing DNA that was artificially altered in a lab with genes from other plants, animals, viruses, or bacteria, with the goal of to produce foreign compounds in that food. This practice is experimental and not found in nature. The risk of GMOs is unclear and its safety for human consumption has not been thoroughly tested. Recent studies show that GMOs can increase allergies, the risk of cancer, and other health problems, especially for children. While 50 countries around the world, including Japan and the entire European Union, have laws mandating GMOs be labeled, the United States does not have such a requirement.</p>

By breathing correctly, you can increase the effectiveness and improve your performance of any type of physical activity. It establishes proper execution of your movements in <a href="http://www.coe-dynamics.com/about-us/pilates-benefits/">Pilates classes</a>, as well as everyday activities, from walking and climbing stairs to sports, working out and any other fitness activities.</p>
<p>Deep breathing is also integral to alleviating stress. Inhaling fresh, invigorating oxygen triggers hormones of relaxation and can help during times of fight and flight, as well as with pain. Many clients from our Pilates studio who have gone through child birthing used their deep breathing skills to assist with and ease the delivery process.</p>
<p>Joseph Pilates advocated taking very full breaths because it is the basis of movement. When we breathe effectively, oxygen flows into our bloodstream and through our muscles, while awakening the senses. The more oxygen we get in our muscles, the more relaxed they become.  The deeper and more effectively we breathe, the more we can release any tense muscles.  Good breathing improves circulation and increases body awareness, which leads to the better control and improved posture that typically results from a Pilates practice.</p>
<p>As you may have noticed in your Pilates classes or private sessions, most Pilates exercises are actually done in coordination with your breath. This benefits our ability to focus and concentrate. Exhaling deeply also encourages the activation of the deep abdominal muscles, which is an essential part of all Pilates exercises.</p>

In recent years, we’ve learned to turn to products labeled organic, if not depend on them, in order to fuel our bodies with the healthiest possible foods. So when we find out that a large manufacturer of “organics” is using toxic solvents in their formulas, it makes us realize that we really need to research the brands and products we purchase.</p>
<p>In his article entitled “Organic Food Stuffed With Toxic Solvents,” Mercola reveals that, in December, the U.S. National Organic Standards Board narrowly approved Martek Biosciences Corporation&#8217;s petition to allow the use of their genetically modified soil fungus and algae as nutritional supplements in organic food—certain elements of this product contain neurotoxic byproducts of gasoline that are typically banned in organics. In addition, the Cornucopia Institute, an organization that advocates for economic justice for the family-scale farming community, later discovered that the product contains ingredients including synthetic chemicals, stabilizers, and carriers, some of which are genetically modified.</p>
<p>This is not exactly the type of nutrition information consumers expect when they purchase products labeled “organic.” In 2010, the USDA found that Martek used potentially toxic additives in &#8220;organic&#8221; milk, infant formula, and a variety of other food products. After a formal legal complaint, enforcement of their removal was scheduled—and delayed for 18 months in an effort to allow corporate lobbyists to petition for review. Unfortunately, that jeopardized all the consumers who use Martek products in the meantime, while it’s determined what the side effects could be. The Cornucopia Institute compiled a summary of potential side effects that are very alarming, including serious gastrointestinal issues, among many others.  With side effects like these, some experts believe that it&#8217;s potentially better for your health to purchase a weight loss pill like HCG from a nutrition center rather than trust some unknown &#8216;organic produce&#8217; providers.  While we can&#8217;t speak to the certainty of that, you can find more info on <a href="http://www.shop4diets.com">HCG at shop4diets.com</a> for yourself if you&#8217;d like.</p>
<p>The bottom line—we really have to research what we put into our bodies. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This a Part II Blog from Body &amp; Mind Coe-Dynamics, Inc.  Health Seminar held on 3/23/12 that is intended to educate the public for you and your family to be proactive in your health care.    A <span style="text-decoration: underline;">brief cap</span> from the <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Part I Blog</span> we discussed</p>
<p><strong>1.</strong> how <em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">your body is designed to connect with food</span></em> and how nutrient dense and grown food connects with your body to provide nutrition: fats, enzymes, minerals, amino acids, proteins etc etc<br />
<strong>2.</strong> that &#8220;<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>Disease is not something that just happens rather it&#8217;s the result of violating our bodies design.</em></span>&#8221;  Disease is an attempt by the body to preserve itself while waiting for help.  This right now might sound strange but, read further as it will begin make sense.<br />
<strong>3.</strong>  <em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Our connection to nature must abide by the laws of nature</span></em>.  The most basic connection of the human body is intended to be done through food. Understanding food is a key to health restoration and maintenance. <em>&#8220;Let Food be thy medicine and medicine be they Food&#8221;. &#8211; Hippocrates<br />
</em><strong>4.</strong> how <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong> two main origins to all health challenges and dis-ease boil down to malnutrition and toxicity</strong></em></span>.  The Blog Part I went into more detail about malnutrition.  This post will discuss a little more about toxicity.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Toxicity<br />
</span></strong> - Drugs yes keep you &#8220;alive&#8221; but they don&#8217;t bring &#8220;health&#8221;.<br />
- You can&#8217;t drug yourself to health known as vitality, optimism, passion, energy and restful sleep.<br />
- Drugs are classified into &#8220;Anti&#8217;s&#8221;.    Drugs are regulated by the FDA which is a business.  &#8221;The Health Ranger&#8221; &#8211; Mike Adams helps you put this into perspective. &#8220;If a school were to run their business like the FDA and send the student home with their own tests and have them report the next day on how well they did on the test&#8221; or &#8220;if a restaurant would be allowed to do their own health inspections on a voluntary basis if and when they chose to do so&#8221; Does this sound ethical to you? Blend all dressing ingredients and poor over the kale pieces in a stone dish (this should be a light poor do not saturate the kale).  Massage the dressing into the kale.  Dehydrate at or below 118 deg (or even oven that is not even on warm dial) for 7 &#8211; 9 hours this low temperature will keep in all the good nutrients.  Store in fridge or cupboard lasts approx. 1 week if you dont eat them all first <img src='http://www.coe-dynamics.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
